We respect and protect the privacy and legal rights of our users, both visiting our websites and using our apps published and available through Google Play store.

We protect both anonymous, non-personal, and personal information shared with us or provided by users, collected about users, and collected about the users’ use of our apps or websites.

3. Software Disclaimer

Our apps and sites are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of fitness for a purpose, or the warranty of non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, we make no warranty that: our apps and sites will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; the results that may be obtained from the use of apps and sites will be effective, accurate or reliable; the quality of apps and sites will meet your expectations; any errors in apps and sites will be corrected.

Apps and sites could include technical or other mistakes, inaccuracies or typographical errors. We can make changes to apps and sites without advice and we assume no responsibility for errors or omissions in them.

The use of our apps and sites is done at your own discretion and risk and with agreement that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from such activities. 4. Information

We may collect anonymous and non-personal information. Non-personal information which is being gathered consists of technical information, behavioural information and aggregated information, and may contain, among other things, the activity if the user on our sites and mobile apps, type of operating system and much more. However, this type of information does not enable identification of an individual user.

We may also collect personal information. Personal information which is being gathered consists of information that can be used to identify the user. For example, email and name of users that ask for support (by using our website) can be used by us to respond and help them to solve their requests.

We will not share our information with third parties. 4A. Anonymous and non-personal information

We develop products and services to permit our users to protect their data, their devices, and their general security, against viruses, trojans and malware.

We may collect anonymous and non-personal information to give support to users, and to improve the quality of our products, giving our users the best experience that is possible.

All data are used in a way that cannot identify you.

Using this data we can improve our products and services and keep our free products free.

We use data to help our internal strategies about segmented marketing, to obtain statistical information in aggregate way, and to improve our current products or create new products.

We protect the information we collect. By using our products or services, you agree to the collection, use and sharing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


4B. What about collected anonymous and non-personal information?

Anonymous and non-personal information include:

– information about the usage of our products and websites;
– language of devices;
– channels used to reach our products and websites (URL, referrals, and so on…);
– information about where our products and services are used, including approximate location;
– other information that is useful and can be used for analytics purposes (read also the following section about Google Analytics).

We collect also non-personal data to make money from our free offerings so we can keep them free, including:
– advertising ID (associated with device);
– ISP (Internet Service Provider) used to connect to our apps and websites;
– Mobile network used to connect to our apps and websites;

Some non-personal data can potentially contain information that might identify the user. In this case, we treat data as personal data and we anonymize this information, by aggregating it with other information that can make NOT possible any personal identification.

4C. Personal information

We may collect personal information for the following reasons:

– to give support to users (for example, email and name of users that ask for support can be used by us to respond and help them to solve their requests);
– to enable purchasing and/or downloading of specific products by specific users (for example, users that previously bought a mobile product with in-app purchase, like PRO version, can restore it after the hard reset of the device);
– to provide information about alerts concerning new malware agents and security;
– to provide information about new and upgraded products;
– to provide other information requested by users (connected with the use of our products);
– to alert users about infections concerning applications and files that they submitted to us for analysis;

We may collect information when users provide us information, or when users use our products and services. Collection is also done automatically through the use of technical elements like, for example, cookies (for analytics purposes).

4D. What about collected personal information?

We may collect some personal information only when the user provides it to us (for example, when a user sends us a request of support by using our websites or apps).

In this case, collected personal information can include:

– Payment information (only for activities connected to payments completed by users).

Other personal information can be collected automatically when the user accesses our apps and websites. In this case, collected personal information can include:

5. Sharing of information

Sharing of information collected from our users depends on whether it is anonymous / non-personal, or personal.

Anonymous and/or non-personal information:

Our apps and websites use some services offered by Google and WordPress for analytical and advertising purposes (for example, Google Analytics, AdMob for Android, and JetPack Stats for WordPress).

So, we may share anonymous and/or non-personal information with these third parties and may publicly display aggregate or anonymous information (for example, concerning the main infections and malware detected during specific timeframes).

Personal information:

We don’t share personal information collected from our users to third parties. We may share your personal data only in these cases:

– when necessary to deliver the product or service you require such as with a payment card provider who we use to process your credit card transaction;
– when authorized by law or necessary to comply with a valid legal process;
– when required to protect and defend the rights or property of our legal entity, our products, our websites, or our services;
– when necessary to protect the personal safety, property or other rights of the public, our legal entity or customers;

6. Protection of gathered information

Information that we can collect is stored on protected servers. Special measures are taken to protect information and access is restricted to a limited number of authorized persons, who need the access in order to administer our websites and apps and ensure their proper functionality, especially with regard to technical support.

7. Analytics Tools

We use Google Analytics, Firebase and Crashlytics to get information about usage of our apps and websites. These tools allows us to better understand how our websites and apps are used, and to make better decisions about design and writing.

In general, analytics and advertising partners may collect additional information such as device identifiers, ip addresses, geo-location information and any other information that may help to segment the users to serve them better. Our third party providers may also store such information on the Users device via generally accepted industry technologies used within the apps, such as “cookies” and local storage.

8. How user data is used

This section better explains how user data is used. It contains all the possible types of use that can be made of user data, both the data provided by the user and the data collected by our websites and apps.

The possible uses of user data are also described into the respective sections, concerning the anonymous and non-personal information (sections 4A and 4B) and personal information (sections 4C and 4D).

Development and improvement of our products and services:

We may use user data collected by our apps and websites and other data supplied by our users to develop our products and services, improving the fight against viruses, trojan and malware and permitting our users to better protect their devices, data and security. About this, anonymous and non-personal information (such as the operating system, version, model of device, and so on, as described in section 4B) can be used to better understand the types of attacks and how they affect different models of devices, systems, and so on. All data are used in a way that cannot identify a specific user. For this purpose, we generally don’t use personal information. We can use personal information (such as name, email, and so on, as described in section 4D), only to solve specific user’s problems, and only after they contact us for technical support.

Technical support about our products and services:

We may use both data supplied by our users and user data collected by our websites and apps to give technical support, when users contact us. In these cases, anonymous and non-personal information (as described in section 4B) is used to get technical details about the problems that can affect our products (websites and apps). All data are used in a way that cannot identify a specific user. Personal information (as described in section 4D) is used to reply to user that have previously contacted us and solve its specific technical problem. For questions and/or requests made by users and connected to payments completed by them, we can use payment information (for example, to verify a payment, when the user submits us a transaction id).

Analytical purposes:

We may use user data collected by our apps and websites and other data supplied by our users for analytical purposes. We may use user data to help our internal strategies about segmented marketing, to obtain statistical information in an aggregate way, and to improve our current products or create new products. For this purpose, we use anonymous and non-personal information, such as operating system, version, kind of device, language, aggregate information about the usage of our products and websites, channels used to reach our products and websites (URL, referrals, and so on…), as described in section 4B. For Analysis we use only some kind of personal information and only in an aggregate way and/or in a way that cannot identify a specific user. The kind of personal information used are the model of the devices and data about geographic location based on GPS/Wi-Fi/communications network local information. Always in an aggregate way and/or in a way that cannot identify a specific user.

9. Advertise

We accept advertisements, in various formats (such as banners, interstitials, etc.) from Third Parties ad networks which may be displayed in our mobile apps. To enable these advertisements, we have integrated a SDK (Software Development Kit) into our free mobile apps. Note that if you click on any of these advertisements, the advertisers may use cookies and other tracking technologies (such as tracking pixel agent or visitor identification technology, etc.) to collect data regarding advertisement performance, your interaction with such ads and our apps and your interests (which may include, non personal and/or personal information such as device and network information, unique identifiers, gender, age and geo-location about you) in order to serve you advertisements and for the legitimate business interests of such Third Parties ad networks. We recommend that you review the terms of use and privacy policy of any third party advertisers with whom you are interacting before doing so. Their privacy policy, not ours, will apply to those interactions. In addition, we at our discretion, advertise other apps. Such advertisements are not directed towards specific users but are rather broadly posted to cross promote our other apps.

10. Cookies and Local Storage

When you access or use the Apps, we and/or our Third parties may use industry-wide technologies such as “cookies”, web beacons and local storage (or other similar technologies), which store certain local information on your device (“Local Storage”) which may enable automatic activations of certain features (such as user preferences), monitoring of use of the Apps (counting Users who visit certain pages, use certain tools, viewed certain advertisements, etc.), frequency capping (for example, not show an ad multiple times after it reaches a certain threshold, etc.) and making the User’s App experience and usage simpler, more relevant, convenient and effortless. Such information is locally stored in the User’s Device. We and/or Third Parties may access such information. Third Parties may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. Such Local Storage used by the apps may store non-personal information as well as User persistent identifier, geo-location data and more. It is easy to prohibit and/or delete the Local Storage using options provided by your device and/or by uninstalling the app from your device. Most browsers and platforms will allow you to erase cookies from a device, block acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Please follow specific instructions provided by the technology provider and/or Third Parties privacy policies to disable and/or erase Local Storage. Your app experience may be affected by this and may be limited.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

The terms of this Privacy Policy will govern the use of the Apps and any information collected therein. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time, so please re-visit the page frequently to check for any changes. All changes to this Privacy Policy are effective immediately as they are published and your continued use of the Apps on or after the publishing the policy will constitute acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, those changes.
